Q. How do you install a modem?
A. To install a modem you will need to take the cover off of your PC with the power turned off and unplugged. Then find the appropriate slot that takes the type of modem you bought. It will most likely be a PCI slot. Then you can plug the computer in and turn on the computer. The computer should recognize the new modem and prompt you for drivers which will be on the CD that came with the modem. Keep in mind that some hardware requires you to install the drivers before installing the hardware. Check out this link for more details on how to install hardware.
