Networking Questions and Answers - Can I Access My Computer With pcAnywhere While Someone Else Is Logged On?

KG writes in with a networking question
Question:Can I access my office computer with pcAnywhere while someone in the office is using it?

Answer: If this office computer is a workstation running a desktop operating system such as XP, Vista or Windows 7 then you will see the same session that the logged in user is seeing and you will have a conflict with mouse and keyboard control. Normally you need a server operating system such as Windows Server 2003 or 2008 that allows multiple logins to the same computer using Terminal Services. If you use Windows Remote Desktop on to connect then it will log off the user and lock the screen on their end after you make the connection.
