Yahoo E-mail virus - JS.Yamanner@m worm
JS.Yamanner@m is a worm that that exploits a vulnerability in the Yahoo email service to send a copy of itself to the user's Yahoo email contacts. The subject line may contain the phrase New Graphic Site and the message body may contain Note: forwarded message attached.
Once the email is opened the worm exploits a vulnerability in the Yahoo email service to run a script. It then tries to send a copy of itself to certain email addresses gathered from the Yahoo email folders. It targets email addresses from the @yahoo.com and @yahoogroups.com domains.
It then contacts the following URL:[http://]www.av3.net/index.htm and sends a list of email addresses gathered to the above URL.
If you have a good antivirus program and keep it up to date you shouldnt have a problem removing or preventing this virus from getting into your computer

Password Protect Your Windows XP Folders
If you share a computer with other people and want to keep them from accessing certain folders or files, Windows XP will allow you to make them private so only you can see them. Here is how you do it.
The first thing you need to check before even attempting to do this is to make sure your hard drive is formatted using NTFS. NTFS is a file system that offers more security and other features than FAT file systems. Many computers that came with Windows XP Home edition will not have the NTFS file system in use. To check what file system your computer is using open up My Computer and right click your C drive. From there select properties and it will tell you what file system you are using. There is a way to convert form FAT to NTFS if you want to make the switch. Click here for instructions. Make sure to backup your data just in case you run into a problem.
To password protect a folder you will need a log in password for your account. If you already use a password then you are set. If not then you will be required to use one after you password protect the folder.
Right click the folder that you want to make private and choose Properties. Click on the Sharing tab and check the box that says Make this folder private and click Apply. If you do not have a password on your account, a dialog box will pop up asking if you want to assign a password. You must select yes. The password you assign will be used to log on to your computer from now on. Next, type in a new password that you will remember. Click on Create Password and then close the Password window and click Ok.
Now anyone who uses your computer will not be able to access that folder without knowing your password.

Cannot Access Control Panel - netsetup.cpl error
This seems to be a common problem among Windows users so make a note!
Q. When I attempt to access my Control Panel, I get an error message which reads "An error occurred while Windows was working with the Control Panel file C:\WINNT\system32\\netsetup.cpl. This freezes up my computer. Can you tell me how to correct this?
A. Do you by any chance have a program called Visual IP InSight by Visual Networks? It may be installed if you use Verizon or SBC DSL. If so try this out.
1. Go to Start then Control Panel or Start, Settings Control Panel and then open Add/Remove Programs.
2. Click Visual IP InSight in the Add or Remove Programs list, and then click Remove.
3. In the Confirm File Deletion dialog box, click Yes.
If you need to keep Visual IP program you can disable it from starting up:
1. Click on Start, then Run and type msconfig and click Ok
2. Select the Startup tab.
3. Clear the Startup Item box for IPMon32.exe and click Ok.
4. Shutdown and restart Windows.

There apparently are still some glitches in the new software including screens that dont redraw properly and some applications that are not running correctly. It may not be reliable enough for users to use on a daily basis yet so user beware.
It may take Microsoft up to 12 months after the release of Beta 2 to launch the final relase of Windows Vista.
