Having your Excel workbooks show on the Windows taskbar - Microsoft Office Help Tips

When you open more than one Excel workbook at a time you may find that you only have one listing for Excel on your taskbar. Then you have to click that listing and hope that your workbook is active or go to Window and choose the open workbook you want to use. There is an option in Excel to show all of your open workbooks individually on the taskbar like shown below

For Excel 2003 go to Tools, Options and then the View tab. Check the box that says Windows in Taskbar and then click Ok.

For newer versions of Excel go to your options and then the Advanced section and check the box that says Show all windows in the Taskbar.
