Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3 - Microsoft Office Help Tips
Microsoft releases service packs for many of their products including Windows and Office. These service packs usually are released to address a number of issues with the product in regards to bugs, security and miscellaneous improvements in the product. Rather than release these updates individually, Microsoft puts them all into one update called a service pack.
Service Pack 3 helps to protect the Microsoft Office suite against potential attacks and other security threats. Changes in Service Pack 3 modify the behavior of Office 2003, including changes that disable some features by default and increase control for computer administrators. This service pack also includes fixes that have been previously released as separate updates for Office 2003 such as Service Pack 1 and 2 so you do not need to install these first.
To get Microsoft Office Service Pack 3 you can go to either the Microsoft Update Web site or the Office Update Web. Both sites will automatically prompt you to download and install the latest service pack. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 then you can't use the Micrsoft update website but will need to go to your Windows update utility instead
