Microsoft Office Questions and Answers - How to Add a Postal Bar Code to an Envelope in Word

Dan writes in with an Office question
Question:On a created envelope I want to put the postal bar code onto it. I have searched and searched and cannot find on how to do it?

Answer: If you want to print an address bar code assuming you are using Word 2003 or older then go to Tools, Letters and Mailings, Envelopes and Labels, then click the Options button. Then click the Delivery point bar code and FIM-A courtesy reply mail check boxes. For Word 2007 option has been removed because the Postnet codes produced by the Barcode field are no compliant with USPS regulations anymore.
