Replacing an On Board Video Card With a Stand Alone Video Card - PC Hardware Questions & Answers

Michael writes in with a hardware question

Question:I have an Intel Exp chip video card. Can I replace it with a GeForce 6600?

Answer: If you have a built in Intel video card you can still replace it with an addon video card. You can't replace the built in one with another built in one but you can add an AGP, PCI or PCI-E card depending on what kind of video slot your motherboard has.
