PC Troubleshooting Questions and Answers - 0x62304390 Error Message

Mansoor writes in with a troubleshooting question

Question:
I get this error again and again. "The instruction at 0x62304390 referenced memory at 0x62304390. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate the program.” Please suggest me what is the problem and what should I do.

Answer: I have seen this error being caused by the Yahoo or Google toolbar. If you have uninstalled these toolbars, try to reinstall them. If you still have them installed, then try to uninstall them using add/remove programs.

It may also be caused by an Internet Explorer add-on. Go to Tools and then Manage Add-ons and try to disable them one at a time until the problem is gone.

I would also run a spyware scan to get rid of any programs or toolbars that may have been installed without your consent.
