PC Troubleshooting Questions and Answers - Fatal Execution Error (0x7927e03e)

Robert writes in with a troubleshooting question

Question:
My computer is saying fatal execution error (0x7927e03e) and sometimes but not all the time and its freezing up. I hope you can give me a bit of advice, if not thanks anyway for trying cheers.

Answer: There is a good chance that the error code you provided is related to the .NET framework installation on your computer. .NET is A software development and execution environment by Microsoft as a competitor to Java. It allows programmers to develop desktop, mobile and web applications that run on top of Windows operating systems.

If you go to add/remove programs you can see what versions you have on your computer. You may have any combination from 1.0 to 3.0 and versions in between. You can try to uninstall the oldest version first and see what it does for the error. If you have any problems uninstalling .NET you can use the .NET cleanup utility. I would do a backup of your files before trying anything like this just in case something goes wrong.

More details on the tool.
