Question:How can I get pictures off an old computer and transfer to new computer? The USB ports are blown on the old computer. Thanks

Answer: If you don't have working USB ports then one of the other options you have are to install a CD burner in the computer and burn the files to CD and then load them on the new computer. A CD burner will cost about $40 and is fairly easy to install.

The other option is to take your hard drive out and put it in a USB hard drive caddy and connect it to another computer or connect the drive itself to the other computer internally and get the pictures off that way. If this is too complicated then most reputable computer shops should be able to do this for you and backup your hard drive to DVDs and then you can copy files back to your new computer.
