One of the greatest inventions when it comes to web browser features is what is called tabbed browsing. This is where you can have multiple tabs open in one web browser window with a different webpage on each tab rather than having to open multiple copies of your browser to accomplish the same thing.
If you are like most people then I'm sure you like to have multiple tabs open in your web browser so you can have all your favorite pages at your fingertips. Most likely you have some favorite pages that you like to keep open at all times every time you are online.
Firefox 4 and up has a feature that allows you to pin your favorite pages to your tab bar within your browser to take up less space but allow easy access to them when you want to get back to them. This way you can leave your commonly used pages on your tab bar out of the way of your new tabs yet be able to get to them quickly when needed.
To pin a tab to your tab bar simply open the page you want to pin and then right click on the tab and choose Pin as App Tab. You will notice how the tab becomes a smaller tab on the left hand side of your tab bar.

If you later decide you don't want this page to be pinned to the tab bar then you can right click the pinned page and choose Unpin Tab. Another cool feature of the Pin as App Tab setting is that it will remember your pinned tabs when you open your browser after closing it if you save your browsing sessions.
