There are many toolbars available for your web browser that can do a variety of things. A lot of them do more harm then good unfortunately and are associated with spyware and malware. You may even have some installed in your web browser that you didn't put there and don't know how they even got there in the first place.
There are a few browser toolbars available that are actually helpful and don't harm your computer or take to websites you don't want to go to.
The Google toolbar is one of the best toolbars you can use for your browser and it has all sorts of time saving features. It's very easy to install and configure so you can use only the features that you need. Once installed it will be placed inside your web browser as shown in the image below.
If you click on the Options icon that looks like a wrench you can get to the options section which lets you configure the toolbar only to display the items you want to use and to configure certain features so they work better for you.
Some of the features you can use include SpellCheck which you can use to spell check your typing after you enter it into web forms. AutoFill is useful for automatically populating web forms with your name, address, phone number etc so you don't have to do it manually each time. If you click on more... next to each feature you can get an explanation of that particular feature.
The Custom Buttons tab lets you choose which icons are included on your toolbar. You can choose from buttons such as Google Images, Maps and News for quick access to those pages with just a click of the icon/button.
The Tools tab includes features such as turning off and on the pop-up blocker, letting you set bookmarks that you can access from any computer, spell checker options and web page translation options.
Auto Fill allows you to enter things like your name, address, phone numbers etc and then when you get to a web page where you need to fill in all that information you can have the Google Toolbar do it automatically with a click of the Auto Fill button.
