If for some reason, legal reason that is that you have to reinstall your Windows 2000, 2003 or XP operating system and lost your installation key, there is a way to find it. You can use the Magic Jellybean Keyfinder. It’s an executable file that will find your installation key within the registry.
For Windows 95, 98 and ME you can find the key within the registry but for later versions of Windows the key is encrypted. The Keyfinder will go into the registry, find the key and let you know what it is.
To get the program you can download it here or go to the Magic Jellybean Software website and download it from there. Just download it to your desktop and double click the keyfinder.exe file and that’s it!
