Revo Uninstaller Utility- PC Software Help

Normally to remove or uninstall software from Windows you would go to Add or Remove Programs or Programs and Features from Control Panel depending on your version of Windows and find the program in the list that you want to remove and then proceed to uninstall it.

But sometimes the uninstaller program has issues or may be missing for some reason and you will need to resort to other methods to remove the program from your computer. You may think you can simply delete the installation folder for the program you want to remove but that will not properly uninstall it since there will be registry entries leftover as well as files stored within other locations on your hard drive.

The Revo Uninstaller is a free utility that allows you to uninstall software and remove unwanted programs from your computer even if you can't uninstall them using the traditional Add or Remove Programs method. Revo also allows you to remove additional unnecessary files, folders and registry keys that can be left over on your computer after the software removal.

Revo Uninstaller also comes with some handy tools to manage, optimize and cleanup your system.

Autorun Manager is similar to the Windows System Configuration Utility (msconfig) and allows you to disable programs from starting up with your computer.

Windows Tools includes useful shortcuts to utilities such as Disk Defragmenter and Windows Services.

Junk Files Cleaner allows you to cleanup unnecessary files left over from deleted applications and typical Windows temp files to free up disk space and improve performance.

Browsers Cleaner cleans items such as your visited web pages, deletes cookies and deletes the address bar history. It will do this for Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Netscape.

Microsoft Office Cleaner clears the recently used files in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and FrontPage.

Windows Cleaner will clean many items such as recent documents, search history, clipboard history, empty the Recycle Bin and more.

Evidence Remover will permanently erase files and folders from your hard drive that have already been deleted but may still reside on your hard drive.

Revo Uninstaller also comes with a utility called Hunter Mode which lets you uninstall, stop or delete programs by aiming at the applications icon on the desktop, quick launch toolbar, system tray or opened application. This can be very useful because a lot of programs load on start up and stay running without you knowing about them and they don't necessarily have to be running.
