Software Questions and Answers - Missing Item Under Picture Tasks

Rhonda writes in about a software question:
Question: In My Pictures menu...under Picture Tasks...the "copy all items to cd" is not there...and has always been in the past. What happened and how do I restore that option in My Pictures?

Answer: Your question is kind of difficult to diagnose without seeing it. First of all is the Picture Tasks group there at all? If not, open your My Computer icon and go to Tools then Folder Options. On the General tab make sure that Show common tasks in folders is selected.

If thats not the case you need to check to make sure that you CD-RW drive is enabled. 

Open My Computer and find your CD-RW drive. Right click on your CD-RW driveand select Properties. Then click on the Recording tab. Make sure that Enable CD Recording on this drive is checked. 

If that is correct, you could try the following: 

1. Click on Start 

2. Click on Run 

3. Type the following in the textbox: REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL (Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI) 

4. Click Ok.
