Software Questions and Answers - Removing Toolbars From Internet Explorer

Wayne writes in with a software question.
Q. Under my address bar is a Yahoo bar that I don't want, but do not know how to get it off. Also under that is a protection bar that I do not want. How do I get these off my computer? Thanks

A To remove the Yahoo toolbar you can go to add/remove programs and uninstall it. It sounds like you may have the Aluria Protection Toolbar. You should be able to remove it from Add/Remove programs as well.

I suggest doing a spyware scan as well since it sounds like you may have spyware problems since you have the Aluria Protection Toolbar on your computer.
