Software Questions and Answers - How to Backup Outlook Express

Question:
How do you backup Outlook Express?

Answer: To backup your Outlook Express go to the Tools menu, then Options and then the Maintenance tab. From there click on the Store Folder button. Copy the path to the folder listed in the box. Then go to Start and Run and paste the path into the run box and click Ok. It will open a folder with a bunch of .dbx files. Those are the files you want to back up.

To backup your Outlook address book go to File and the export address book. Pick Text File and then click Export. Save the file somewhere that you can find it click next. Select which fields you want to export and click Finish. It will save it as a .csv file which you can re-import into Outlook.
