Jim writes in with a software question
Q. Sometimes, when I get an e-mail from someone, there is not a TO line in the header so you cannot see who all it is sent too. How do they do that so the TO line is not seen? I would like to set it that way sometimes. I usually use Thunderbird for my e-mail., once in a while Outlook Express. Thanks.
A. In Outlook Express you can open the email and then click on View and then choose All Headers. You can also go to the File menu and select Properties. Then go to the Details tab and it will show you the header information in more detail.
There should also be some sort of option in Thunderbird to do the same sort of thing. Try opening the email and pressing Ctrl+U to display the entire header. Or you can install the View Headers Toggle Button add-on from Mozilla. This extension adds a toolbar button that allows the easy toggling of viewing all message headers.
