Jim writes in with a software question Question: I have an Acer 10.1 Aspire One Notebook PC. When online all websites are viewed with slider bars.....any way to get full page on screen without slider bars?
Answer: It sounds like your resolution is too low which makes you have to scroll down to see the whole web page. You can try to increase your resolution but that may make the text etc too small plus most notebooks only have a limited number of resolution settings to choose from. To increase your resolution right click your desktop and choose Properties (XP) or Screen Resolution (Windows 7/Vista). For XP go to the Settings tab and then slide the resolution slider to the right and click Apply to test out the setting. For Windows 7 choose a higher resolution from the drop down settings.
Since you have a 10 inch screen you may be stuck with slider bars on your website. If you press F11 while in Internet Explorer it will make it full screen without the toolbars etc and give you more viewing area. You can press F11 again to exit out of full screen mode.
