Software Virtualization Solution ensures applications use correct files and registry settings, without modifying the OS and without interfering with other applications. SVS captures all changes made during installation of a particular application in what's called a Virtual Software Package (VSP). The user can turn off the layer to instantly uninstall an application, or turn it on again as needed. SVS allows you to install an application without modifying the PC’s configuration. It can also wipe out a problem program, reset a program to its just installed state, or allow use of two conflicting programs alternately.
With SVS you can transfer an installed program to another SVS equipped computer simply by transferring the layer. All you have to do is “turn on” the application and it becomes a simple matter of layering these changes over the existing Windows runtime. SVS also eliminates conflicts between applications and allows you to install and run applications according to their unique requirements.
The SVS client comes in two versions. A standard version for application deployment and an Administrator version that includes a local SVS management console for recording and managing application layers.
To record the process you simply choose the Create New Layer option and then executing the application’s installer. After that you can enable, disable and export the layer as needed. You can also configure layers to auto enable at Windows startup.
