Virus Questions and Answers - Is VirusRescue Effective?

Question:I recently bought a virus program called VirusRescue, is this program ok?

Answer: I have never heard of VirusRescue so I did a little research and it looks like it may do more harm than good. Did you by any chance buy this online or from an ad you saw on a webpage? Many of these anti virus and anti spyware programs turn out to be malware/spyware programs themselves. It's tough to say for sure if its no good but according to others it appears to be so. I would stick with the name brand products like Symantec (Norton), Sophos, Kaspersky and AVG etc.
