Question: How can I tell if my copy of Windows 7 is acivated or registered properly?

Answer: There are a couple of ways you can check this. The easiest way is to right click on the Computer icon and choose properties. Then on the bottom there will be a section that says Windows activation. Under that it will show if your copy of Windows is activated or not and give you a product key. If you need to change your key for any reason you can click on Change product key.

Another trick is to open a command prompt and type in slmgr.vbs -dli and press Enter.

Then it will pop up a window showing you if you are licensed or not and will also show you the first 5 characters of your product key.
