Open Internet Explorer
Select Tools then Internet Options
Click on the Programs tab
Check the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser option
Click OK
Close all Internet Explorer windows and restart Internet Explorer
When the Would you like to make Internet Explorer your default browser? prompt appears, click Yes to make Internet Explorer the default browser.
You can also change other web options from this area such as your default e-mail client and newsgroup reader.
