Windows Questions and Answers - Picture Resizing Option Missing

Bruce writes in with a Windows question:
Q. Good morning, I have an HP a310e Pavilion. When I go into MY PICTURES and click on a picture to send, then click EMAIL FILE, a dialogue box always appears before it goes to email so that I can choose to reduce the size of the picture or send as is. That box has disappeared and my pictures are being sent full image. Anyway to get this option box back?
Many thanks for your help. I tried HP online support but waited numerous times for up to 30 minutes each time with NO response. Very frustrating.

A. Has the option to e-mail pictures disappeared as well or is the dialog box to reduce the pictures before sending just not coming up?

If it’s just the dialog box for resizing try the following:

Click Start, Run and type regsvr32 shimgvw.dll and click ok.
Then reboot. Keep in mind that the image has to be one of the following types to get this option: BMP DIB EMF GIF JFIF JPG JPE JPEG PNG TIF TIFF WMF
