Q In the control panel/display, I need to know the correct settings for everything, icons, toolbar etc. We had a power outage and my computer settings are all out of whack. I tried to adjust all of them but, to no avail, I can't get them back to the original settings. Your help will greatly be appreciated.
A. There is no way to get your settings back to a specific configuration automatically. You will need to configure each element individually. For your icons right click on the desktop and make sure that Arrange By > Auto Arrange is not checked or else you will not be able to adjust their position freely.
For the taskbar you can right click on it and pick properties. From there you can adjust all the settings you need. Here is an explanation of the start menu settings.
As for your display you can adjust that by right clicking the desktop and clicking Properties. From there you can adjust things like the resolution, wallpaper and screensaver.
