Windows Questions and Answers -Program Won't Start Maximized

Carl writes in with a Windows question

Question:
I have tried right clicking the desktop icon and then selecting properties, run, and then selecting maximized. Applications still start in the window mode. Do I need to alter a different setting prior to doing the above? Thanks for any help on this.

Answer: After you change the properties to open maximized, open the program and if its not maximized then maximize it. Then close it and reopen it and see if it stays full screen. Another thing you can do is go to File and then Close rather than clicking on the X to have it remember the window size. You should only have to do this one time, not every time you close the program.
