Windows Questions and Answers - Windows System Clock Displays in Military Time

Joan writes in with a Windows question

Question:
How do you remove military time in the right hand corner of your PC screen? All of a sudden my clock went to military time. When I click on the clock, the clock inside is at the right time.

Answer: To change the time on your computer so it displays using the standard time format rather than military time you need to go change the time setting under your regional options. To do this click on Start and then Control Panel (or Start, Settings, Control Panel) and double click the Regional and Language Options icon. Then under the Regional Options tab click on the Customize button and go to the Time tab. Finally under the Time format section you can change the format to back to the default setting.
