Question: I am not able to install Windows Update KB951748.It says error message: 0X80070005.

Answer: I would begin by trying to download and install the update manually. Here is a link to the Microsoft site for that particular update.

If that doesn't work then I would download and run the Microsoft WGA Diagnostic Tool. The 0X80070005 error can be caused because the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) validation tool fails to install. You can download the tool and run it manually to have it detect and resolve any problems that have to do with Windows Genuine Advantage.
