Windows Questions and Answers - How to Open Internet Explorer Maximized

Tim writes in with a Windows question

Question:
When I open Internet Explorer, the display is small size and I have to maximize it. Once I'm finished, close Internet Explorer, and re-open it later, the display is back to small size and I have to re-maximize it. Is there an option that can be set so that anytime I open Internet Explorer, the screen is always Maximized - Thanks!!!

Answer: If you have an IE icon in your taskbar by the Start button then right click it and choose Properties. Then where it says Run change it to Maximized and click Ok. This should make it open full screen from now on. If you want this for your desktop icon then you will have to right click the taskbar icon after you change it and choose copy and then paste it on to your desktop because if you right click the desktop Internet Explorer icon and choose Properties it will open the Internet Options rather than the icon settings.
