There are many different types of file formats for movie files that you will come across. Different cameras and smartphones use different formats and there is no real consistency when it comes to what type of movie file you will end up with. Plus different programs and operating systems like certain file types better than others. For example Windows likes to use wmv or avi files while Apple likes mov files which are commonly used in their QuickTime software.

Many times you will need to covert a movie file to a different type for reasons such as using it in your video editing software or reducing the file size so you can email it.

Videozilla is a video converter tool for video files. Supported video types include: AVI, MPEG, RM, MOV, ASF, WMV, SWF, FLV, MPEG-4, M4V, 3GP, 3G2 and DAT.

Videozilla allows you to easily convert video files into other formats. You can also adjust the options to change features such as video width and height and video and audio quality. It can also extract audio from a video and save as an MP3 or WAV file. To convert a file you simply right click the file itself and choose what type of file you want to covert it to. The original video file will stay in its current format and a copy of the file in the new format will be created.

Videozilla can be purchased and downloaded here for $29.95.
